After graduating from Texas State University with a degree in biology, Chris returned to Lubbock in 1997, joined a local insurance agency, and specialized in client development and technology advancement. As Vice President, Chris spent 18 years expanding the company within and beyond Lubbock. That work included building a corporate wellness division to improve employee health and reduce healthcare costs for employers across the Lubbock region. HIPAA compliance and federal healthcare reform were also top priorities in his client relationships. Chris joined Blue Layer in 2018 as Chief Strategy Officer, where he continues building relationships and helping local businesses reach their goals. Outside of work, Chris enjoys photography, tennis with his son Caleb, and volunteering at the South Plains Food Bank.
